MAHJONG MARATHON
Jus came back from kovan, suppose to be having tuition now, but kana dua by my student, he's still in malaysia and yet his mum din have the courtesy to at least inform me..shit..waste my bus fare!
anyway..the long awaited CNY is gone..and from chu yi till today, have been playing mahjong almost everyday...well..its kinda hard to avoid mahjong in my house..haha..cos that's a pre-requisite to becoming a part of my family. quite lucky in gambling for the past few days, won 70 over in mahjong and 10 plus in "lo dim"..haha..and the winning season is NOT over!! And i realised that "Lo Dim" is a game that can really send the policeman knocking on ur door..haha..Cos its very exciting and the $$ that u can win per round is astonishing. Its a game based on pure luck and nothing else. My cousins and uncles almost tear up the whole house while playing that, esp when there's onli 1 winner..haha..but then its onli thru such games can we reallie have the feeling of CNY, and it can also foster the bond between cousins.
watched "fearless" with my cousins on Chu yi nite, after which we walked over to the "He Pan". Its quite an average show i would say, thou the fighting scenes are pretty cool. Its basically a show about Huo Yuan Jia, and the true spirit of learning Martial Arts and being a KungFu Master. And we've agreed among us cousins tat it would be our tradition every year, that all of us would go out together on Chu Yi nite..haha..
quite disappointed with the He Pan this year, cos of the location, and it seems like the scale of it is getting smaller and smaller each year. Hopefully next year it'll move back to esplanade side, bigger and more accessible.
