I MISS HONGKONG

Back from my 5D4N trip to HongKong. This is my 3rd time there since 2001 and it definitely won't be the last. As usual, I spent alot and bought alot :)

I realised by dream of going to Disneyland with Mummy, though I was the one who paid for the tickets but nonetheless it was a dream come true for me =) More importantly, I saw my idol - WINNIE THE POOH!!! Wahahhaa..I went nuts when I saw the mascot coming out for photo taking. Everything was cute, even the cups. Hahaha. Spent quite alot on the soverniors shop.

I LOVE MY BOSS!!!

Had my monthly supervision with my boss and towards the last part of the session when we have to fix next month's date, this is what she said to me:

Boss (flipping through her calendar) : Joan ar, December when you taking leave?

Me (confused) : Huh? No ar, I'm on leave for a week from tomorrow. I din take any in Dec le.

Boss: Oh. Then you want to take?

Me: Er...If I have to take, then maybe on the 26th lo. After Xmas. Hee

Boss: 26 ar..Wah..a popular date le. Wait let me see...(took out a super-act-cute leave record)..ok..2 on leave so far. Okay, I booked for you. So u take leave then hor?

Me: Erm..Boss..I say IF I have to take le. I not confirm le. Cos might have to cover Sida's duties.

Boss: Nvm. I cover for you. You take. I approve. Put in the request later.

Me: Oh. Ok lo. Since you insist. Hahaha

Boss: Anyhow, I've "booked" the slot for you. Tomorrow you going HKG hor. Enjoy yourself huh. (and she gives me a super huge grin)

Me: Thanks boss! Buaiz

I guess she's the only boss in the whole world who can't wait for her subordinates to go on leave. How can I not love her for that? Hahahaha

BIDE THE LAST GOODBYE

Went back to Parry on Saturday night for their farewell dinner. Beginning of next year, Parry Primary School would officially becomes history. Although I am no longer a staff of Parry, but it's still sad to see the beautiful (thou eerie) building go off. I think it would almost be impossible to find another school in Singapore that's so ancient, simple & 纯朴. I will miss the school. Definitely!

Anyway, I had a nice time catching up with my ex-colleagues and of course my darling students, the Primary 1s especially. They are still as adorable as before. Despite not seeing me for about 2 years, they still remembered me!! And..they are such sweet talkers :) Really can melt a teacher's heart.

Me: 因为我要做工啊。

Happy: 哦，我有买礼物给你可是不知道怎么拿给你。你等一下跟我回家可以吗？我拿给你。

Me: 真的吗? 可是老师等一下没有空，而且等你们表演完已经很晚了。改天好吗？

Happy: 不可以，都不懂什么你才回来看我们。我叫妈妈回家拿给你。You wait for me okay? (and she runs off)

P.S: Rebecca is half caucasian. So her chinese is 半桶水.

I was dumbfounded by their conversations but I was also very touched by their 童言童语.

My Primary 6 students. Spent the longest time with them when I was in Parry. From Pri 4 (3 & 4 Sem) till Pri 5 (1 & 2 Sem). They are also my proudest achievement. Managed to get them to like chinese.

Oh yah, I saw Wanling on the dinner also. Apparently she was an ex-parrian. Nice!

A little bomb on that night though. I got to know that my ex-principal is going over to Yishun Primary School..AND..my centre has alot of projects in YPS next year. Which means to say, I will be working with her once again. KILL ME!!!

PRAYING FOR A CLOSE FRIEND

1. That her lymph nodes is only that of an infection and not cancerous
2. That her family problem can be resolved
3. That she can knock off on time and stop doing OTs into wee hours
4. That she would find confidence in her work again
5. That she would be free of worries
6. And that she would be a happier, healthier and free-er person

To Ms Anonymous:

You know I am a person who tends to 想太多 & 想太远. I really had a hard time sleeping after logging off yesterday night cos my mind is full of "what if".."what happens".

I know you are reading. Please take good care of yourself. I'm begging you. I am really worried when you told me yesterday night about what might happen to yourself. The part on giving me your clothes after death is TOTALLY NOT FUNNY!!! (and dun bother to try harder)

Please tell me & discuss with me on anything & everything okie! And stop scaring me with your 'not-funny-at-all' jokes. I want many more years of friendship, KTVing, bitching, gossiping, traveling, shopping, dining.....etc with you.

Just remember, I'll always be around. Even if I cannot offer good solutions, I can entertain you. You always like my entertainment, don't you? :)

THE BIG DAY

3rd Nov 06 marks the day where Ms Mok officially (and traditionally) becomes Mdm Mok aka Mrs Yam. It was a beautiful wedding with a radiant couple, although both of them had minimal sleep the night before (esp. the groom..whahaha) but nonetheless you two looked wonderful.

Although I've 'worked' for 18 long hours that day & came back with a bruised arm and hungry stomach, everything was worth it. Just for you ar, Mdm Mok!! :)

The morning part were quite in control. The timing was perfect except for a little hiccup towards the last part, but nothing serious. The games..my oh my..the morning games was hilarious. The groom and brothers were so sporting much to our surprise. I loved the singing and the contract part. So romantic yet comical :)

For the banquet, everyone turned up well-dressed with tons of well wishes for the newly wed. Our bride is certainly very honoured and happy with it. It's a pity I didn't get to enjoy the reception part, cos I was with the bride in the room the whole time while she was busy getting ready. So while waiting for her, I decided to cam-whore a bit. Heehee. After all, it's quite rare to be so dressed up.

Once again, from the bottom of my heart, I wish the couple a blissful & blessed marriage with countless happy years to follow. May your love for each other withstand the test of time and all obstacles.

This was definitely a night to be remembered by everyone who were present. It was a nite filled of laughter, warmth, tears & memories. Mdm Mok was SO drunk and she really looked like a lobster towards the end of the drinking session. So red and hot!! Hahaha. Alot of "secrets" were revealed and shared. *winks* you know what I mean. Heehee.

We finally had a full attendance gathering on this very day. It was just so difficult to find a time/activity that everyone is happy and available. It was a fun-filled evening. The food was great, the portion was just right and the weather was fine until the last part.

It was really a chop-chop BBQ session. We arrived at around 6pm, fire started at around 6.45pm. We start to BBQ at around 7pm, finished eating at around 8.15pm and we packed and went to Kat's place at around 8.30pm. Like a whirlwind. Hahaha.

We played pictionary & mahjong - Hello Kitty Mahjong. Conclusion: We can't draw and the Hello Kitty Mahjong is confusing. It serves better as an ornament. Haha.
